    so the u2 said support up to 17in laptops.

    I was wondering whether it will work for a hp envy 17 3d? any1 tested it with a 17 inch laptop?

    the u3 is kinda double the price of u2 so didnt wanna spent too much on a cooler

    Get the U3, U2 might be up to 17 Inc but not all 17 are the same and to add that U3 Have an extra fan compared to U2. :)

    I'm using U2 for my G73 17" (even if this doesn't need one)but it fits. Solid and firm, the rubber pad for grip is good too. You can also re-arrange the fans for your Envy.

    I agree it will fit FAR FAR better on a U3 than a U2

    thx for the info guys, nice to hear that it fits.

    I prob get the u2 one cuz dont wanna shell out the extra money...(im paying for accessories while the laptop is paid by my parents :p)

    or i'll prob wait till black friday and see if things get cheaper and maybe will get a larger one

    If you are going to get U3 for your envy (gaming?) Try CM Strike 19 model it covers up to 19" laptops too.

    agreed but i will wait for more review from users first since those 140 fans are powered by 12v adapter with Fan speed controller :)
    seem really nice but that means that i will have to keep the cooler plugged in too~ :rolleyes:
