Can anyone recommend any peripheral writing pads? I'm looking for something that I can use to send realtime handwritten notes to my laptop and in turn through net meeting or other conference software. Can anyone help out?

The WACOM Intuos is a good drawing pad. I have used it, and it works great.

So with these you can just write notes directly to the screen correct?

Not on the screen. You write on the tablet, which is then trasmitted to the screen. The pen works more or less like a mouse which you can control better. If you want to write on the actual screen, you need to get yourself a tablet pc.
