    I've seen a lot of posts regarding Dell's U2412M AG coating. Some say it isn't a problem, others loath it. Has anyone tried their new S2440L IPS glossy monitor?

    I just purchased one from Best Buy, here is the link: Dell 24" IPS LED HD Monitor S2440L - Best Buy S2440L&cp=1&lp=1#tab=overview

    It is glass not matt finish. If you don’t have a lot of light coming from behind you then it looks great.
    The colors in photo editing and movies look great, I really like this monitor.

    The S is for sport it is not IPS, it is VA. Best Buy has it advertised incorrectly.

    I'm a fan of the Dell ST2421L which has the matte finish and with slight style to it. Its IPS but it still looks pretty sweet.

    The dell 2440 is NOT an IPS screen.
    Best buy has the wrong description.

    It's an AMVA screen.
    That being said, I had it for about a week and then returned it to get something else..
    It had horrible reverse ghosting and didn't like how recessed the actually screen was to the bezel.

    Instead I got the new HP 25BW.
    AMAZING screen. Also edge to edge.

    Look up done YouTube vids on ghosting on the 2440l and you'll see what I mean.
