I have a 19" dv9000 laptop. What is the best cooling pad for this laptop?

Zalman NC2000 or NZXT Cryo depending on the bottom of the notebook.

Could you post a pic of the bottom please

not sure if the nc2000 could support a 19" notebook and/or cool it that efficiently.

the nzxt cryo LX supports notebooks up to 20" and would cover all yur vents without a problem.

It depends on the vent locations it could be more effective could be same could be worse all on the locations. Please remember that before posting every time ignoring that fact.

    Zalman also advertises 17"+

c'mon man...u should know by now that i'm not here to misinform anyone. i already know his vent locations. if u measure most notebooks front to rear vent locations. u will find that it measures to about the size of the cryo LX's cooling surface, front to rear.

i also checked the zalman site and it didn't state any specific size ranges, so i just wanted to give him a little heads up.

Here's a pic of the bottom of my laptop. Sorry it took so long, I had another overheat-shutdown.

@houstoned the zalman nc2000 supports laptops up to 20". I was going to go for that one, but now I'd like to hear X2P's opinion first.

Thanks for the pic but one quick last point before a final recommendation where are the hotspots for you? what is heating up or are you looking for a general cooler?

Also is noise an issue for you?

@X2p The laptop seems to be the hottest at the front of the laptop, but the fan is located at the top left corner. Noise isn't an issue as long as it doesn't drown out the audio from my laptop.

Well, basically the whole laptop gets pretty hot, including the back. The front is just a bit hotter. Especially when it's on a flat surface, which is often.

    np boss.

if u can use my picture, that i linked, for reference. the hot, front, area u'r describin looks to be the HDD/wifi card area. that would explain the extra heat in those areas.

So does anyone have an answer for me? The thing I'm worried about most with the zalman is that my fan is at the top left corner, and won't align with the zalman vents.

For the 19" go with the NZXT for the 17 incher go with either, if hot spots are more towards the back go for the NZXT

Thanks a lot X2P. I guess I'll go for NZXT since I have the 19".
