I'm looking forward on buying the Logitech Z-2300 speakers on Newegg since they have a 30$ rebate. If anyone have a better price than that or better speakers under 150$, please do suggest me one.

Logitech had them for $83 with free shipping yesterday.
The sale was for a dented box, but that's their way of cutting off the price. I never got a dented box from their "dented box" sales.

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. $80 refurb, about $130 new. These speakers are absolutely legendary for their sound quality at this size and price. If someone had $100-$125 to spend on 2.1 speakers, I would never recommend anything else besides the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's.

Klipsch is a solid choice for PC use. If you don't care about 2.1, Vann's is offering the Promedia Ultra 2.0 for $60 or so. That's a hell of a deal. :)

Those are awesome speakers for your lappy!
For $98.99 AR that is a solid price, don't forget to use this Promo Code ( EMCYWZV27) for an additional $10 savings make it $88.99 After Rebate.

Now, you can also get them for $98.99 at amazon, without having to deal with any "Mail In Rebates", you will just lose the $10 savings you are getting from Newegg.

Amazon $109.99 Less 10% Promo Code = $98.99! LINK, you will need to apply this Promo Code (GXTPOFES) when checking out in the: Do you have any gift cards or promotional claim codes, area at checkout.

    :)

I've had a friend go through 3 Klipsch 2.1 subwoofer units because the amp in the sub died. They sounded great, but had really bad build quality. If bass is what you want, the Klipsch's still can't hold a candle to the Z-2300's sub.

I had a Logitech (dont know which) system for a while but gave it away since it had a response resembling a hammock, bass was good, midbass from 100 up to like 500Hz nonexistent, and nothing over 10kHz, un-EQable (there is no overcapacity to play with, they just distort). Its the same with all these small systems, you need at least a 5 inch woofer in the sattelites to get something that sounds even remotely good.

I also recommend the logitech 2300s they are very powerful and will pretty much shake everything in your house lol and they are really clear.

They good for everything games movies and music which i have running all day.

Right now i have them and my 7.1 creative s hooked up.. lol

the creative s distort when you turn them up all the way and the logitechs doesn't. which i just used the creative s so i could get surround sound.

Could somebody recommend me a set of very good speakers for my laptop, please? I would ideally like 2.0, but am open to considering 2.1. Am looking for recommendations so I can go check them out for myself. Not sure what my budget is.. I started off considering Bose companion 2, Creative Gigaworks t40 and t3 and logitech z2300s. Then started looking at M-Audio AV4os/BX5A deluxes. And am now considering checking out a set of Genelecs. I could maybe just squeeze enough together for the entrylevel Genelecs. Would prefer to not have to though. Thoughts on Genelec and recommendations on others I should check out would be appreciated. I'll leave it up to the recommeders where they consider the ideal price/performance ratio to fall.

Also (and this highlights my ignorance of these things), is the soundcard in this VPCF12Z1E/BI (VPCF12Z1E/BI) : Technical Specifications : VAIO and Computing : Sony pretty good? Is a decent set of speakers all I will require for some bloody good sound?
