Can anyone suggest a site where i can get a CHEAP, best bang for the buck flat panel monitor? Looking for a 17-20 inch. refurbished would be fine.

    THX!

    How much is cheap?

Perhaps look on eBay, Craigslist, etc. for a used one. Or wait for TigerDirect, Best Buy, etc. have sales.

As well, Dell is a good place to look too, they often have sales and coupons available. Check around at sites like fatwallet.

The Dell 207WFP is an option.

As Cori pointed out, how cheap is cheap to you? I recently picked up a 22 inch Viewsonic for $350. You can get many decent ones for about $200 these days. LCD prices have really come down since I plopped $1500+ on a 20.1 5 years ago.

My friend bought a 15" LCD for $1400 almost 6 years ago, and he's still using it now. We tease him all the time about it too, the response time was like 60 seconds!

Ah, remember when 17" CRTs were awesome? LOL.

I just disposed of a couple excellent 19" CRTs. Awesome, but they took up the entire desk LOL. And back-breaking heavy.

CRTs are awesome, and still are, it's unfortunate LCDs can not match CRTs in terms of colour quality, yet of course.

That's quite true. I'll give up some of the CRTs performance to regain half my desk though ;P.

Hopefully one day the panels will surpass the best CRTs ever made in terms of picture and performance. That will be the day.
