    Can non-lightscribe burners...

    ...burn to lightscribe media? They obviously can't burn the images, but are they still able to burn the data into lightscribe disks?

    Yes, Lightscribe discs just has a special surface. You can burn stuff using non-LS capable drive. Though it would be a waste of a special disc.

    Yeah, I was just asking because there is a large file one one of my computers that would be a PITA to transfer so I wanted to burn it with the comp's DVD burner and then just take the disk to our lightscribe-capable desktop and burn the cover on it there.

    The lightscribe disc will do the job of course... but you really ought to invest in a (4GB+) pendrive.
    It would make that sort of task soooooo much quicker/easier ;)

    I just got a 2GB one about a month ago and thought it would be enough... apparently not. I don't want to get a new one though because the only ones I can find for under $20 are online and by the time they get here I'd have my file burned and everything and there would no longer be any need for it.
