    Hey guy's,Can I use a camcorder;as my webcam?I'am wanting to use a camcorder as my webcam on my Dell Inspiron 1150

    I'am trying the get the very best picture possible!!
    Or if any of you know of a notebook cam that has a very extremely clear picture.Please let me know.

    And if I can use a camcorder with my laptop.How do I hook it up to my laptop?

    Not likely, beyond plugging it in, you'd need drviers for the camera. The issue is more about bandwidth though than anything else. It's difficult to stream live video over the web. That's why you don't see windows larger than 300x300 in most cases, even with services like those from MLB.com and others.

    I've got a Panasonic camcorder, which I think is a piece of crap - even though it was like 400 bucks. But, it has a webcam feature - it has softwre that allows you to do so. Every camcorder is different, so I can't really tell you which one to get.

    I don't think that it's worth it to go out and buy a camcorder just to use as a webcam - you're better off getting a nice Logitech one. ;)
