    Hi All,

Just wondering if I can run my 18.5V emachines M5118 laptop of a 12V UK car cigarette lighter?

If so, what adaptor would you reccommend?

    Thanks

    Liftman

you will need to get a power inverter. I have used an APC airplane/car adaptor without issue and I have a Kensington/IGO universal power adaptor without issue. The only thing you will have to watch for is how many amps are being drawn to make sure you car breaker doesnt trip. The other thing is if you are planning to keep doing make sure you have a good battery especially if you have a lot of electronics running in the car
