I was wondering if i should go ahead and buy a backpack or a neoprene sleeve?
I already looked at the SlipSuit by mobile edge, i thought i might go with that for a sleeve.

    http://www.mobileedge.com/items.asp?cid=19&scid=19&pid=102

But the problem is i will also have a cooler with me, so i'm not sure. I was just going to buy the sleeve and stick it in the backpack that i have right now, which is just a normal slightly padded school backpack. So should i just go ahead and buy a sleeve and stick my cooler next to it?

Also, where/what website you guys suggest for me to buy a backpack/sleeve? I have a hp dv5t and plan to buy a zalman nc2000. I only linked the mobileedge sleeve because its the only one i currently looked up.

I think you should definitely buy a sleeve. They are great at protecting your finish and keeping dust. dirt, food off the machine. They are not great in terms of padding for impact resistance though. As far as your current book bag, if you feel it provides enough impact resistance for the laptop, then put your laptop in a sleeve and stick it in there. I have a sleeve for my machine and plan on getting some kind of bag/case for it.

Hmm. The thing is I'm leaning more towards a sleeve only because it's cheaper(compare ~30$ to $80~ and I already have a backpack, but not a laptop backpack. It's a Jansport backpack with many pockets, it's like a medium sized backpack, the padding on the back is pretty thing, it's not only cloth, it has a small bit of padding. I'm wondering if this mixed with a neoprene sleeve will be enough to protect it. Also, where do you guys suggest for me to buy such products.

Did it keep your voodoo protected? I just took my laptop to school today unprotected, I was so afraid about getting it scratched. My backpack just does not provide enough protection as I can see. In addition to that, lint/dust gathered everywhere in and outside my laptop, so does this sleeve keep the lint/dust out (SlipSuit advertises it does)?

I use a neoprene sleeve when I transport my laptop and just stick it in my regular school packpack. My backpack has decent padding and I've never had any issues with damage/dirt/etc.
