Well since the controller looks to be a Bluetooth controller, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work. (I've never used it, I just plug in my wired controller to my PC and that works fine).

Also make sure that the game you want to use the controller with is Xbox 360 controller compatible. If it isn't, it won't work.

No, not all of them. They have to have the Xbox controller picture on the back of the box.

I only know one game off the top of my head that has the picture, but doesn't support it, and that's Call of Duty: World at War.

Ok first of all the 360 is not a bluetooth system.

Second of all this is for Xbox not Xbox 360

And it should be incredibly obvious that this is not a official/licensed controller.

What your looking at is a controller designed around the xbox controller concept.

So what this means is a few things:

1.) Again its not a 360 controller, so it may not work with games that support a 360 controller. It is not going to be detected as a 360 controller or use the 360 controller drivers. So if your playing one of those games that require a 360 controller and are picky about 3rd party controllers you may be SOL. It also means it wont automatically use the 360 controller settings/mode that GFWL support.

2.) Most 3rd party rip off products are cheap pieces of plastic that do not work well, do not feel good, and may break prematurely.

3.) Bluetooth has a standard protocol, it will be detected as HID enabled gaming device. Only if this really is a bluetooth controller in the first place. I know the 360 does not support bluetooth and cant seem to find anything online that says the original xbox does, so does this controller come with an adapter? Is it really BT and not RF and just called BT?

    edit:

    based on this: http://www.engadget.com/2004/09/05/xb-comm-xbox-bluetooth-controller-and-headset/

I confirm that it does use an adapter the xbox itself is not BT compatible, also the headset is wired to the controller.

I should note that its advertised range is 10 feet, when almost all BT devices advertise the normal BT range of 30 feet, this is another good sign that it may not really be bluetooth.

If it is bluetooth since it is using an adapter it may not be standardized, it may require the adapter to decode the signals, so it may not work with a PC using a normal connection without the adapter

    edit2:

You said its for your son who is used to playing on the 360. You should know then (if you didnt I am letting you know) that the 360 controllers use USB and are compatible with windows. Its plug & play.

If you use the wireless controllers they work also with the use of a special wireless adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless..._1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1277710211&sr=8-1
