Well Im looking through mice..and I wanted to take advantage of the bluetooth that my asus n80vn x5 has. But I realize that bluetooth can be hard on battery life, so I was curious. Would turning the bluetooth on and using a bluetooth mouse, such as the logitech vx470, be harder or easier on the battery life than using the logitech vx nano mouse? Thanks guys.

vx nano should gives your notebook and your mouse better battery life i think.

turn off your bluetooth when not needed.

bluetooth mouse is usually a trouble anyway. pairing and whatnot.

from what i've been told, a wireless mouse uses just a bit more energy than a wired mouse

but a bluetooth mouse uses a LOT of energy

Tried both option, the VX Nano will definitely help overall battery life. I found keeping Bluetooth on would drain an additional 20-30 mins off my battery.

Thats insane, I only get 2 months out of it with ~10 hours use a day. You must be using superduper batteries XD
