First off I'm no professional musician, so I'm looking for the easiest way to get a clean recording onto the computer.

I figure there are two ways I know of.

    The USM Microphone

A device that allows me to "plug" my Acoustic Electric into the computer.

Does anyone have any expereince with this?

your best bet would be to pick up a mixer that goes between your guitar and pc. line out from your guitar to line in on the mixer. something like this
