    I hate glossy screens.

That being said, I want to find a good anti-glare cover. I forget which one I had way back when (nvm: it was the MXS), but I bought a 13" screen from photodon and noticed a bit of noise from the screen. What is the best glare cover for reducing noise?

And for Photodon, what is the difference between antiglare and crystal clear covers?

I'm using all of my anti-glare films from this company.

I'm very satisfied with it. You should check it out whether they have the one for your model or not.

I would imagine the the clear covers are for protection and the antiglare is for - well, antiglare.

I've tried various makes with the 13-inch MBP I suffered with for a while as well as the Dell SXPS 16, and have never been happy with the way they degrade image quality. The stick-on covers work by scattering light, which means that they have a textured surface - which also scatters light from the screen itself, which is the 'noise' you referred to.

Some people find it an acceptable tradeoff for a daylight / rear-lit-viewable display. I didn't I have to say.

What's a good matte screen cover for the Acer 1410?

Don't the Photodons have a smooth anti-reflective coating screen protector (which is the best of both worlds)?

I think the Acer and Gateway share the same screens... so if I can figure out which one to get for mine you should be able to use the same one.

I think I'll try the RJ1 screen, it's anti-glare but supposedly has the best noise reduction.

But apparently their "clear" one still has 25% glare reduction, but I don't know how good that means.
