    As I stated.
Best Gaming Mouse + Wrist Pads at $70
I hope it will work for vista-64bit (I heard some of the razers wont)
cos I am getting the Gateway P-7811.

And considering that notebook speakers are quite weak
any good suggestions? (2.1 will be cool)
    around $70 will be fine

    I have a Razer DeathAdder...it's awesome.

I did have to upgrade mouse firmware in XP, but the driver worked just fine for me in x64.

    Go blast some heads!

    Re: Speakers
I have 2 sets of fairly old Logitechs, I purchased both for under $30 after rebate (I think x-220 & Z-3). I am MOST pleased with the sound/$ that I paid. If I ever buy another PC speaker, it will be a Logitech.

I have the Razer Exactmat and it came with a Gel wristpad. Can be had at amazon.com for ~$30 here. I've been using it for roughly 1.5 years and it has served me well.

And for a good mouse you might want to check out Razer's lineup of products. I've been using my Razer diamandback for 1.5 years with the exactmat, and it is by far the best mouse I've used. I have a Logitech G5 thats still in the box because it didn't even compare in my opinion.

I personally use Logitech G2 v2 and I am very happy with it.
A minor annoyance with it is the scroll button as it is a bit hard to press but I'm used to it by now.. ;)

The razer Goliathus comes in 3 different sizes, i have the smallest one (which really is standard sized mouse pad). Works perfectly with my deathadder. As for wrist rest, I put the razer mouse pad on top of my old 3M mouse pad+gell wrist rest. :p Improvisation.

I'd recommend the Ikari Steel Series Laser mouse. Unlike most other mice, the Ikari can operate completely driverless -- this is a huge plus for OS compatibility purposes. All of the CPI/DPI settings are handled by the mouse hardware at 1-digit increments, making it extremely tunable. Excellent ergonomics as well to complete the package.

I would second that. SteelSeries also makes excellent mouse pads. I don't have one, but if I had $30 to blow on a mouse, that's what I would buy.

If you can find the Logitech Z-2300 for around $85, I would go for them. They are WAY more powerful than the
Z4s. I used to have the Z-2200s, and they just rocked the house man, and a few other houses for good measure. I own the Z4s now, while they too are loud and banging, they don't have the sheer power and bass of the Z-2200s.

Don't get me wrong, the Z4s are great, hell I am using them myself. But if you can spare a few extra bucks and you think you might be able to make use of the extra power, I would definitely go for them.
