A couple guys at work game with a nostromo. Basically it's a small programmable keypad with a few joystick controls that goes in the hand opposite your mouse. Anyways, I was curious if anyone here uses it, cause the guys that recommended it mainly play WoW, and I want to know if its good for other games like America's Army. Basically, is it worth 40 bucks?

I used the n40 ( not the silver one) for everquest back in the day, it was great, very comfortable, can set macros for dull tasks if you play RPGs and that game includes skill points for repetative stuff. I loved it , but dont play many games now a days. so dont use it.

I use mine for Neverwinter Nights, Diablo II: LoD, Half-Life, Deus Ex, and Fallout 2. I find it to be most useful in FPS - it was meant for those anyways. If you're limited to a laptop keyboard (I don't have enough deskspace for a full-size keyboard) or just aren't very savvy with your keyboard, I'd say get one. Whether or not it's worth whatever the price of a new one is now, I don't know. Try Half.com or Amazon.com. Just be warned that some of the ones circulating in those places may be the older n52 which had some problems with the keys being very stubborn. They're the same as a new one except for the key issue.
