WHen I travel I like to have both the laptop and my dslr in one back, is there one that will accomodate a 15.6" laptop, a dslr and a couple of lenses?

I'm also in the market for a laptop+DSLR bag and have my eye on the Tamrac 5784 Evolution Messenger bag. There's a few manufactures that make such bags and here's a few more for your consideration:
    Think Tank Urban Disguise 60
    M-ROCK Great Smoky Mountain 673
    Slappa Ballistix AURA PRO-TOUR
    Lowepro Fastpack 250/350
    Caselogic SLRC-206

Take a look at the pelican case website. They have hard cases that will make sure all of your stuff survives and they have the pick and pluck foam so you can configure it to hold whatever you want. And if you don't like any of their configs (which you should, they have a lot of cases) I think you can even have them make one to your specs.

Pelican cases are extremely sturdy and nice, but I wouldn't use one unless I'm on an expedition or traveling to hazardous locations. On a daily routine, I think folks would probably prefer something more portable and convenient to carry rather than a hardshell trunk, chest or briefcase. Even for road warriors, I think Pelican cases are a bit of an over-kill. A semi-soft shell bag with a 1650 or 1050 denier ballistic nylon exterior and medium to thick padding would be enough IMO.
