    I need a cool looking bag for my DV8000t. I would like a backpack but I wouldn't mine a messanger style bag. I kinda like the Northface bags and the Jansport. But I think all there bags are to small for my massive notebook. Please help me in a search for a case!

    It's water resistant, I don't know about water proof. I don't really care to test it either.

    You can say it's ugly, doesn't matter to me. I have it to carry my notebook, not to look cool. I got mine off of ebay.

    hi there,

    although i haven't got a laptop yet (i'm still not sure which one i want) i bought a backpack already; it's Pakuma Akara K3 and it's solid; check out Pakuma selection on http://tinyurl.com/rygk9

    K3 is a big mamma (36l internal storage), K1 is the same just smaller; laptop pocket is very well padded and overall quality is very good too; i'll try to write a review (with pics and stuff) when i'll have some spare time; if you have any specific questions just ask (;

    hope that will help you;

    greetings

    If it's in your price range, check out the Tom Bihn Brain Bag. Just got one myself and I must say I am impressed with it.

    I have used the Samsonite ICT Backpack 41 for a year. I love it. The Carry handle feels very comfortable and the shoulder strap paddings are excellent.

    Okay, confused. Most reviews say it's for 15" ers. How does the M1710 fit? Even one site only goes up to XMS170 with no mention of the 1710. Just curious that when you guys say the 1710 works with the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack that it fits entirely inside and can be closed?

    I've got the Mobile Edge Premium backpack, and my M1710 fits in there perfectly. It's too big for the velcro strap to go around it, but it doesn't move around at all.

    The recon barely fits a 15.4" laptop, you have to stretch the sides a bit to get it to fit.

    I got it in Ireland (Republic of Ireland) but I had to order it from UK via one of the laptop shops in Dublin (regular one, not online). It took them three weeks to get one for me. It was that long for the reason that's not entirely clear for me (I guess it was some shipping delay).

    It actually appears that all resselers are located in Europe, but I'm quite sure you could order it online - the shops are listed on Pakuma's website. Or maybe directly from Pakuma... ?

    Oh, and the K3 model will easily fit 17" notebooks into the pouch (so called Cocoon), probably with some accessories like cooling pad as well.

    if you want waterproof, check Chrome (see sticky at top of Accessories forum) I would say get a Shinza Sleeve and then a Chrome Messenger. This is an alternative combo.

    Also SF/Waterfield bags and Tom Bihn. These 3 choices are not the norm and there is a definite price premium over the everyday bags.

    if you wanna look good, something slick, simple, professional and not flashy, get a booq boa. they have the xs, xm and xl depending on the size of your laptop. i got the xl for my 17in and it looks great.
