I need a cool looking bag for my DV8000t. I would like a backpack but I wouldn't mine a messanger style bag. I kinda like the Northface bags and the Jansport. But I think all there bags are to small for my massive notebook. Please help me in a search for a case!

is that a 17"? if so, those are hard to come by. u could try targus, or notebooq (sp?). but the second one is fairly expense
-
I use the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack for my M1710. it fits perfectly, and lots of protection in it. I love it.
-
i 2nd the mobile edge premium. Great protection!
-
does any one know if the mobile edge premium backpack is water proof?
-
It's water resistant, I don't know about water proof. I don't really care to test it either.
-
iono i think it looks a little ugly but thats me. does any one know if there are any northface bags that will fit a 17inch screen? Lastly where did you guys buy your bags.
-
You can say it's ugly, doesn't matter to me. I have it to carry my notebook, not to look cool. I got mine off of ebay.
-
any other suggestions?

hi there,
although i haven't got a laptop yet (i'm still not sure which one i want) i bought a backpack already; it's Pakuma Akara K3 and it's solid; check out Pakuma selection on http://tinyurl.com/rygk9
K3 is a big mamma (36l internal storage), K1 is the same just smaller; laptop pocket is very well padded and overall quality is very good too; i'll try to write a review (with pics and stuff) when i'll have some spare time; if you have any specific questions just ask (;
hope that will help you;

If it's in your price range, check out the Tom Bihn Brain Bag. Just got one myself and I must say I am impressed with it.

I have used the Samsonite ICT Backpack 41 for a year. I love it. The Carry handle feels very comfortable and the shoulder strap paddings are excellent.
-
Okay, confused. Most reviews say it's for 15" ers. How does the M1710 fit? Even one site only goes up to XMS170 with no mention of the 1710. Just curious that when you guys say the 1710 works with the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack that it fits entirely inside and can be closed?

I like the Pakuma but now I am gonna return my notebook because its to **** huge! If you guys have a 15.4 notebook or smaller, I reccomend getting the Northface Recon bag. http://www.thenorthface.com/opencms/opencms/tnf/gear.jsp?site=NA&model=AMC2

whtvr where di you buy your bag at? Are they only sold to the uk only or the euro countries? I live in the states.

It actually appears that all resselers are located in Europe, but I'm quite sure you could order it online - the shops are listed on Pakuma's website. Or maybe directly from Pakuma... ?
Oh, and the K3 model will easily fit 17" notebooks into the pouch (so called Cocoon), probably with some accessories like cooling pad as well. -
if you want waterproof, check Chrome (see sticky at top of Accessories forum) I would say get a Shinza Sleeve and then a Chrome Messenger. This is an alternative combo.
Also SF/Waterfield bags and Tom Bihn. These 3 choices are not the norm and there is a definite price premium over the everyday bags. -
if you wanna look good, something slick, simple, professional and not flashy, get a booq boa. they have the xs, xm and xl depending on the size of your laptop. i got the xl for my 17in and it looks great.

Love Booq......they're great bags.
