Ok so the deal is i have and old hp ze5500 that won't charge anyomre. I think it has something to do with the ac adapter slot being fried or broken off. I opened the laptop tho and I've seen that the ac adapter plug is still connected to the motherboard. Anyway the AC adapter slot won't work and I don't want to pay to get it repaired as I just wand to fix this laptop to mess around on it.

Anyways are there any docking stations to this laptop that can charge it through its docking port rather than through its ac adapter slot? thanks

I believe the part number for the docking station is 335940-001 . I'm not 100% sure if it provides power through the docking port, but most of them do.
