    Do you have a remote? it may be a IR receiver or a usb microphone/speaker/subwoofer... Try plugging it in?

    USB IR receiver. the other plug is the ir blaster/repeater for use with a cable or sat box etc

    ok thanks i found out that it is ir receiver but i still dont get it why any one should need so long cables.
    i dont know what i should use it 4.

    Pusnik,

    Just seeing that you are one of the few that was able to get the G71, Could I ask you what else came with your laptop? (As in maybe the bag, mouse, and headset they claim to give you)... I'm kind of curious to see what brand headset comes with it (Pics if you can =]).

    Also did you get the option for a TV Turner that was built in? Thanks in advance!

    I don't understand... who can't get this computer and why?
    It came with mouse(mx518), backpack, ir reciever(first post), and remote that fits in the notebook. i didn't get headset

    I live in america, and the sites so far that sells this laptop have delayed the release date over and over and OVER again! lol...

    They also changed the model number from G71V-A1 to G71G-A1.

    The reason I asked what came with your laptop was because the websites all say that it come with a mouse, bag, and a gaming headset. I know about the first two, but the headset is the only thing that doesn't seem to have any detail about. Also there seems to be a TV tuner port, but I don't see options for it when I check the sites.

    Could I ask where you have purchase this Laptop from (maybe a website)? Thanks in advance (and for the picture!).
