I am thinking about getting the above monitor and using it as an external monitor for my laptop. It seems to be very good as far as color reproduction, contrast ratio (10,000,000:1), good response time, LED, and fairly light (a couple more pounds than my laptop). What are your guys thoughts on it?

That looks pretty nice on paper, and a good price too. And Asus is definitely a reputable brand.

I don't understand the "looks good on paper" part. I think when I get the money I will be getting it. I just wanted some reviews on it.

"Looks good on paper" means that it appears to be a good quality monitor judging purely by the technical specs published on the website, i.e. the information you can see written on paper, rather than actually seeing the product itself in person.
