Alright so I am about to get a new desktop in and I want a good speaker system that will give me that more ''life-like'' feeling when I'm playing games like CSS, BF2, etc...

But my question is...5.1 or 7.1? Does a 7.1 speaker system necessarily mean that it's better then a 5.1?

    Here's the 7.1

    Here's the 5.1

Which one would you choose fellas?

Just a side question, are the cables long enough on each individual speakers so I can mount them around my room for that surround sound feeling? Thanks!

as the 7.1 is a third of the price of the 5.1, the quality will be crap. just get a good 5.1.

it will be money well spent, trust me.

you could always go for the x530. lots cheaper, but not too bad.

those 7.1 speakers stink. seriously, those 5.1's are insanely amazing. they are perfect for gaming. i promise you wont be disappointed if you get them.

5.1 hands down, as most things dont even support 7.1...though im pretty sure u can get a better deal than ~300
