I'm currently looking for a new headset to replace my sennheiser pc151 that I gave to my brother.
I'm currently hesitating between the regular steel series siberia headset or a turtle beach 5.1 set... Problem is I've never tried any 5.1 headset so I don't know how good the effects are. Any input?

it would have to be simulated 5.1 surround so its hard to say without listening to them.

5.1 headsets are gimick IMO. Those are just marketing tactics. If you want some headphones that have the best 'surround sound' then go to headfi.org and search sound stage. Whatever they suggest has the best sound stage in your budget will probably have the best 'surround sound'. As for headsets though, If I bought any right now then I'd get the Ultrasone HFI-780.

The Razer Barracuda headphones (not the sound card) are really great. they are a little bulky, but i think well worth it.
