i had a Slappa Velocity backpack for my 17" asus laptop. It was ok priced and solidley built. My mate had an Alienware Laptop backpack come free with his Alienware Laptop and it was a pretty good bag too! Are you sure you can't get hold of one?

I have a Targus XL and it holds everything I need. It is a huge backpack so if you are under 6' tall it may look a bit funny on you. I am 6'-4" so it fits me wonderfully.

My Targus XL works great with my behemoth D901C. :) Love it.
