anyone have good suggestions for basic 14.1" notebook messenger bag? i dont like those big bulky ones for like 100 million things to fit inside it just something small and classic?

Also watch for 15" bags, they might be a little tall, but they will still fit pretty well.

the OGIO hiphop or the Targus messenger XL both fit ur decription. If you change your mind and want a messenger bag for laptop and other stuff, try the Osprey Torque or Spin.

If youre looking for something really simple, how about a sleeve? That way if you already had a messenger bag/backpack you liked you could put it in there.

I have the skooba gear sleeve
    ( http://www.ebags.com/roadwired/skooba_skin_1012_small/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=76107)

and I like it a lot, cause of the way the handles flip up if you need to carry it just by itself.

They have dif sizes(small-med-large) I have the Medium and it fits my Dell inspiron E1505 PERFECTLY (it's a 15.4)
