    >>>> SOLVED<<<<<<

    Hi,

I have had 30% overprovisioning on my 1 TB Samsung 970 PRO for some time through Samsung Magician.
Yesterday I needed some extra space and shrank the overprovisioning from 30% to 1%.

However, after this, my total volume seen in Windows is still 667Gb as it was with 30% overprovisioning (should be now about 950 Gb).

I am unable to adjust or delete overprovisioned disk space and it disappeared from Samsung Magician 'blue bar' as in pic. below. Normally overprovisioning (percentage) is shown there.

I tried to adjust OP with older versions of Magician, and also Disk management which is unable to shrink the volume.

Does anyone have idea what is going on?

I Googled for 3 hours, but have no success with finding a solution.
Please can anyone help? Any information is appreciated.

(I tried older versions of Samsung Magician, enabling defrag. service, sfc /scannow, dism commands, disabling pagefile)

    Thank you in advance.

I got it sorted!!! Thanx to everyone for reading the above mess!!

    What I did:

Installed AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard, split the affected incorrectly sized 667GB boot/primary partition into 2 smaller partitions (impossible to do through Windows disk management throwing 'error parameter used').

After system re-start needed by the AOMEI program the sum of both freshly created partitions were correctly 950Gb.

Then I merged the two partitions with the same program, auto-restart, and got my whole 950GB capacity back.

I am not sure what caused all this mess, but this time I wil not use or play with Samsung Magician overprovisioning.

Great stuff. Glad that you've got it all sorted. I'm also using the same 1TB 970 PRO as my main OS. Awesome drive...
