    problem with sound just now

    So here i am, at my laptop, and then alienware update keeps poping up a message to update my audio realtek driver. So i did, then i restarted it...

    now my sound doenst work, even without headsets. Any help? Where can i find older versions from realtek? thanks

    Think I have the same issue! Don't do the update folks! Get a popping noise every now and then with no sound now too!

    Rather than rolling back to the old driver (which in having trouble with finding), have you tried just uninstalling/removing realtek audio device in device manager? Perhaps a re install there will fix it?

    i removed completly realtek audio, reboot, download version from dell, install, reboot, now working great

    The driver released recently by dell popped my speakers. So awaiting replacement speakers from Dell.
