    have an alienware 15r2 and want to overclock the cpu. I have bios 1.2.2. I get only the option to enable and disable ...is this right ? Have graphic amplifier connected too

    Which processor do you have? You can only overclock if you have the 6820HK.....

    Ah, that'll be why then. That is not an unlocked CPU like the 6820HK so you won't be overclocking I'm afraid.

    Unfortunately Dell leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the BIOS and leave options that are not relevant to all models.

    I would recommend staying with 1.2.2 though, it is by far the least buggy BIOS they have released for our machines. :)

    This is correct. The 6700HQ doesnt have any overclock functionality.

    I wouldn't even bother trying to overclock even the K series.
    Every single game can run on max with even the weakest i7 processors provided you have a sufficient mobile GPU.

    I wouldn't worry about it.
