My Alienware 13 R2 (late model, 965M) originally came with the hard drive caddy. I changed it to the nvme caddy that I purchased on ebay. I then purchased a 512gb Samsung 960 EVO nvme drive and installed it in slot 1. Everything works perfectly, proper speeds etc. However, when I take it out and place it in Slot 2, the computer doesn't boot, it just gets stuck on the Alienware logo (slot 1 is now empty). I just want to make sure the NVME caddy I have is not defective, and if in the future I want to add another nvme SSD to slot 2 it will work. Can anyone out there do me a favour and try putting their nvme drive in slot 2 (while leaving slot 1 empty) and see if it boots or if it just hangs. If it works then I will need to exchange the nvme caddy with my ebay seller.

    Thanks!!

Guess I solved my own issue...all I did was take out the nvme , take out the NVME cage, clean the contacts, and reinsterted it into slot 2 and it works fine....thanks!
