In Win10, Go to "Settings>Accounts>Sign-In Options" and set "Require Sign-in" as needed.

If that is set to "Never" Win10 will only ask you for a password if the system was locked before going to sleep.

If it is set to "When PC wakes up from sleep", it will ask you for a password. In Win 8.1, if this option was set, it wouldn't ask for a password it the computer screen was just turned off. But in Win10, it asks for a password even if the screen was just off (Pretty annoying).

i tried it and still not working.
Clicked sleep>click the alien head to wake it up and straight to desktop without even asking for a password.

I am not saying that this is your case, but you get the same symptom if there is no account password set at all (if it is left blank).

Not sure what else could cause the problem. I suggest checking if your PW is set like Hephaestos mentioned.

Also Win10 has auto login if the camera recognises your face (should not work on the pre Win10 hardware). I don't think it is the cause but i suggest checking facial recognition password option.

Also try looking through the options in: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings\Change Advanced Power Settings

Other than this, I am not sure how else to look for the solution other than checking all possible settings.
