    Hi guys!

Sorry to disturb you, but i think i'm cursed with Alienware.
    I recently bought a 17xR2 with the following conf : 4980HQ/8Gb/980m

I installed a fresh windows, then ran benchmarks in order to see what it's made of, thus, it appeared the Gpu never went to 3d frequencies, and always remained at stock frequencies ( 135/162 ).

Here are the things i tried : power management set to max perfs, same in nvidia panel. Tried a new vbios, updated bios to A04, repasted and checked if GPU had been physicaly damaged.

What i don't understand is that i hadn't ecountered any issues with the installation of graphic drivers ( neither intel or nvidia ), and seemed to run perfectly, exept the fact that it stays @Idle frequencies even if i run benchmark. Do you think my GPU might be dead or something ?

If you have any idea how i could come up with a way to solve this problem, i would really appreciate.

I'm looking forward to hearing from any of you

Thank you for reading and for your time.

Have you ensured that your nvidia card is set as your card to be accessed (versus using integrated graphics). A lot of people have a default setting mixed up that will cause certain programs to not utilize the Nvidia card. If you're using software to benchmark with, check that its accessing the right card. Or use Furmark and see what graphics card is utilized during that bench.

It's the NVIDIA that is utilised. Already made sure of that.
