just formatted my alienware 17 r3, m.2 drive to remove last years uni work off it and get it ready for this years work and in the process of getting my laptop ready I did plenty of driver updates and noticed a new bios version (latest version out now)
so I updated my bios and it went wrong, so wrong !
system was responding just was getting loud whining noises fans spin and stopping all the time, everything ran very slow even after resetting the bios.

I managed to flash a older version 1.2.8 and things seem to be a lot better again, but now I'm unable to install windows 10 to my m.2 drive (default that came with the laptop).

my setup is a m.2 256gb drive as my OS drive and a 2TB hdd as storage, can anybody tell me the bios settings to install windows 10 as I have tried every know combination and its just not working.

at present the controller is set to AHCI and boot options set to uefi and legacy boot options enabled.
    thank you in advance

    just to update this thread:

was getting no joy from the drive so I rang dell as I have full warranty package with them, they are sending out an engineer to replace the m.2 drive and motherboard....

guess dell like to waste money.
