Download revo uninstaller (free). Delete everything in AWCC, OCcontrol using revo uninstaller.
The type: REGEDIT in search area and delete anything that is related to AWCC: example delete this one: Ordinateur\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alienware\Alienware Command Center
    after this one:Ordinateur\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alienware\OC Controls
    this one:Ordinateur\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alienware\System\AFXCapableDevices
    this one:Ordinateur\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DELL\AWCCService

Then reinstall AWCC and see if it fixes the problem. If not look for @Spartan@HIDevolution guide: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/alienware-command-center-clean-install-guide.834263/

Thank you I’ll give this a try tonight. Does putting in power performance mode for gaming actually do anything? Wouldn’t it automatically give it more power during gaming sessions anyway?

Use AWCC only to control fan speed, lights and sounds. FORGET about all other features. They are full of bugs and useless.
Use the software: Throttle Stop to undervolt and control windows power plan automatically. (you will have to create a task for it to open automaticaly when you open a session in windows).
Using windows power plan «performance» will give you max power for the CPU/GPU. Use this when in ACpower. I use this plan all the time except when on battery power.

When gaming use «full fan speed». This will cool CPU/GPU and help you maintain max performance.
