My 13 has a 512gb m.2 and is running windows 8.1. A few days ago it started acting strange and every day the problems get worse.
One of the first problems I had was MS Streets & Trips started giving me the following error: "Your registry settings for this application were not copied" and wouldn't run. I "fixed" this by starting it with admin privileges, but I never had a problem with it before. The second problem (and started a day later than the first) was that Chrome would take several minutes to open the first window. I could see in the task manager that it was running, but it wouldn't open the window for a long time. Today, the 3rd day, booting/logging in took several minutes instead of seconds. chkdsk isn't reporting any problems and most everything else seems to be working fine.
I currently don't have to the time to talk to Dell support for hours and I can't sacrifice the laptop to send it in to get checked out.

Are these problems symptoms of s specific problem? Anything I can do until I can call support or get it checked out?

Could be the SSD, or possibly the memory. Run chkdsk /f on the drive and MemTest on the memory.
