    alienware 17r2 game volume is much louder than mp3 music

    as the topic says,

    seems gaming sound is alot louder than anyone mp3 or music file i have on the laptop, in fact its almost 3 times louder,
    I use vlc player and ive looked into that crappy volume boost software.

    so anyone know why this is the case

    Did you try reinstalling the audio drivers? It might be the quality of the files in the game vs the quality of the MP3 that you're using. It may also be due to the software you use to play the files. I'd recommend you to try a different player such as Winamp or WMP.

    Check the windows volume control. Sometimes you'll turn the volume of something down and you forget to turn it up again. I did that the other day so all my music was playing quiet but when I had my browser open it was ungodly loud.

    done all of that before and its still crappy, i did look into my m17x and this 17r2 speakers and the m17x have higher volts.
    even still the sound is crap on the 17r2 and it seem there is no fix,
