    Windows Hello Is Not Working

    Yesterday i migrated all my data and OS to my new pcie wd black 512gb... The only issue i have is that i can't set up windows hello, a sound comes out (error sound i think...), and nothing happens... BUT when i delete my pin... i can set up windows hello but it doesn't save my face nor my pin (after setting windows hello)...

    Hope you can help me out :( I have an AW 17 R4

    Uninstall and reinstall the Tobii software and see if that helps. Are you on the latest bios? I seem to recall Tobii updates being listed in not the last bios update but the one before that 1.20 I think.

    yes i'm on the latest bios... now windows hello tries to turn tobii on but only the 6 dots are on.. not the big one.. i guess is a tobii issue??

    It could be....every major Windows patch seems to mess up Tobii pretty bad. Make sure you get the newest version from Tobii's website, hopefully that brings it back.

    I will put it here for ohers reference...hope u dont mind me digging it out a bit :)

    I was struggling with Windows hello on my new alienware 17 R4 as you know it was not working on Newer Windows editions so... after install on windows 1511 the windows hello worked Ive upgraded to 1709 still working...and all was fine.
    Yesterday Ive installed clean 1709 hoping for windows hello to work out of the box with our Tobi eye tracker etc but nop!

    I went to Tobii web page and to my amaze found they have fixed issue also for our Alienware laptops finally !!!! Prays the Sun!

    3/28/2018 - The Windows Hello fix has now been tested and approved for release for the Alienware 17 R4 with integrated Tobii Eye Tracking. The changes are the same as for the Eye Tracker 4C. The PID was updated to 0128 for the driver and you will also get the new Windows Hello driver called TOBII Camera under Camera or Imaging devices in Device Manager.

    Please note that this fix has been released in version 2.13.1 for the Alienware 17 R4 with Tobii Eye Tracking only and it does not apply to Alienware devices with the Tobii Aware/IR presence configuration since that camera is using a Realtek IR driver rather than our drivers.

    Please download version 2.13.1 on https://tobiigaming.com/getstarted.

    Eye Tracker 4C users, please be aware that updating to 2.13.1 will make Windows Hello temporarily unusable until you have disconnected and re-connected your eye tracker.
