    Hey everyone,
I have been using windows 10 for a while now and I wanted to go back to Windows 8.1 for various reasons. I did revert back to Windows 8.1 from some option in Control Panel and now I cannot open some apps (including Alienware Command Center) even if I reinstall them.

Thanks for the warning, though I am not surprised that going 8.1->10->8.1 creates various issues. It feels like you have to do clean install of 8.1, or maybe go 8.1->10 again, and immediately do clean install of 10.
I decided to wait a few month (AW13), and go 8.1->10, and then do clean W10 install.BTW, it would probably help if you mention what hardware.

I did a clean install of windows 10 and the machine is much smoother now. Bootup times are also much faster. That spinning thing doesn't even show up when I do a cold boot.

That's cool! I also did a clean install on my laptop and it works smoothly. I can't leave these things to the O.S haha.

No issues here going from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and reverted back to Windows 8.1 through Windows Recovery or whatever it was called.

Not sure if it matters, but I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 before upgrading to Windows 10.
