Whenever i watch a video via vlc or youtube I notice a short stutter. I used a dpc Latency checker and low and behold the red line. It is very annoying to say the least and i tried fixes such as uninstalling dell support(i think thats the common fix from people having the same problem) but to no avail. I called dell and they had me do the system check up via bios and reinstall the graphics driver on the dell website and it did not solve the issue so they will be sending me a new graphics card(but since its soldered to the gpu i guess a new mobo) they will also be sending me a new hard drve(so i have to transfer all my fiels to the new one so its really a hassle on my end) and they will be reinstalling windows 8.1 as this was the os that came with my system.

Any other fixes to this issue you guys can suggest? Should i try the "reset my pc" option in windows 10?

i recommend you go to Device Manager and one by one updating the driver if is possible. In my case it fix a lot of problems :) try it. is boring but for me works.

Is this a "clean install" of Windows 10? If then that could be the issue. I have done over 30 Windows 10 installs. I have only done 6 "upgrades" the rest were all clean installs. This is because there were countless performance issues and glitches when doing a so called "upgrade".
Of those upgrades I did, I ended up redoing them all as clean installs and every single issue was resolved.
The "upgrade" process will keep partial drivers and old software that is not exactly compatible with the new OS. This can cause conflicts and is just plain dirty. (Opposite of clean.) :p

Its an upgrade. i was on windows 10 since probably the 1 week of its release and only experienced the stutters last week.

Try a clean install and adding the drivers yourself. I've done this on all machines that I have upgraded and have had zero issues.

Is the "rest this pc" the same? i did it and it was smooth up until the 2nd hour. I got a spike of 87k. Anyways dell will send someone in to replace my mobo reinstall w8.1 and change my drive. if it resolves the issue i think i might stay with windows 8.1 or upgrade to windows10 (clean install).
