I've received notification for Windows 10 upgrade on July 29th. I'm sure many of you also did.

Would it be wise to upgrade on day 1? I want to experience Windows 10 but concerned about compatibility issues.

Probably not, but 2 weeks down the line why not. If the reviews are good, drivers for all the hardware you are using released. There might be some compatibility issues highlighted here on the forums and over some time, community will work through them. That's my take on newly released OS.

Same for me, except that I have 3 PC's. I usually install the new O.S on one of them and then decide whether it's worth it or not.

So far, Windows 10 looks pretty solid to me :)

Clone disk to external HDD, if possible, just to be sure. As a side note: it's a shame that Windows doesn't have the same awesomely easy bootable disk cloning that OSX has through apps such as Carbon Copy Cloner...

I personally feel the same. It seems very solid. However with that said as an IT professional I personally would wait a few months to fully implement it for drivers, software updates, and windows updates to catch up with the launch and be out in the wild for a bit. :)
    Just a suggestion.

Also this is a good read as there are some features and options in Windows 10 that some people might not be able to live without.
