Will the laptop get hot as I put it to sleep mode in the neoprene sleeve?

I am currently on the road as a passenger with my laptop stowed away in the Alienware neoprene sleeve in the trunk. The laptop is in Sleep mode.

I was wondering if it can get hot in there.

In the past, my old laptop can get warm even if it is in Sleep mode. Now, I am not sure.

The short answer is: it shouldn't; however, if it "wakes up" for any reason it will but without running anything heavy...by itself...in the trunk, it will be able to manage the heat even in the sleeve. I have an AW 13 and I have not had any issues with sleep mode and it waking up unexpectedly even when flying recently and doing roughly the same thing you are doing now.
