So, within the last couple of days the internet on my AW 17 stops working. It'll show i'm connected but a little yellow caution symbol pops up over the wifi icon and when you highlight it it says limited connectivity.

Every other device connected to the wifi works fine still. I downloaded the latest recommended drivers from Dell from a different machine using my service number which actually removed it from the device list, thus making my issue worse.

I managed to "fix it" by hardwiring my machine to my cable modem and let Windows do everything for me. For about 2 days i was working off the WiFi with no issues and then the limited connectivity issue started again for about 20 minutes and then all of a sudden it started working..

    Is my WiFi card going?

I cant say for certain but to me it sounds like its more likely a network conflict of some kind. If your card was going out I would think during the "down time" that you would have no connectivity at all. It could be happening when your laptop is renewing its DHCP lease or perhaps you have another machine in your house that has a static ip that is assigned in the same ip range that your DHCP pulls from. I have had issues similar to your's many times and almost always it ends up being some type of mis-configuration in the network.

I'm not saying your card isn't going out i'm just throwing out my experiences from the past.

Uninstall the entire Killer suite from your Control Panel.
Go to the Killer website and download their updated suite along with the drivers and install. This should fix your problem.
