Why do even gaming laptops have laptop keyboard with 3 keys as max keys allowed to be pressed down?

I realized that the max number of key presses on a keyboard is 3 when playing a game that requires holding multiple keys down on my Alienware 13 laptop.

It got me thinking about why do even gaming laptops have this restriction, when you have at least up to 6 key allowed for simultaneous pressing on USB keyboards.

If only I could get an official wording on this...

Those limitations are usually set by the O.S.

Yay! So, I guess this suggested that if unbounded by OS restrictions, I can get up to 6.

    Thanks for clarifying this.
