    Hi I want to add a 8gb ram in my alienware 17r4 and i cant find the brand of it as i have heard that it is better to pair them up with model brand speed ect. Does somebody know what brand of ram alienware 17r4 late 2016 i7 6700/fhd/gtx 1060 ships with? or if it doesnt matter and somebody has make it work with other brand which brand should i get for 1 x 8gb ram?

    Whatever the machine picks. The only exception is if you go through a custom shop and work with someone such as @Donald@HIDevolution who has the setup to let the consumer pick RAM Speeds and brand of RAM. Same for SSDs and HDDs.

    Thank you for your answer so i can buy compatible ram stick crucial 8gb and it will work good no need to pair them up with shipped brand? I bought refurbished laptop in uk retailer. I choose crucial because on their webpage they guarrantee compatiblity. I would love to buy ram pair sticks but i cant afford more then 150euro. Any input would be apriciated as i dont dare to make any move without being 100% sure.
