    What is the right vent for on the new alienwares?

    It doesn't appear to be blowing any air out or sucking any in.

    Its for the GPU. I barely feel any air coming out of mine either, but my gpu barely gets hot so im assuming thats why.

    If you do not see heatsink fins, that little hole does nothing but to add aesthetic appeal.

    Yeah I think you're right, I'm looking at the AW13 service manual and the left side has an exhaust vent but the right side doesn't. I always figured the cooling system would be symmetric. This might apply to the other AW models but I didn't check their service manual.

    Agree with above. It's only purpose is for symmetry on the exterior.

    I guess setting that as the input vent should be fine. I'd prefer both sides to be the input and the exhaust at the back.
