Hey all. Posted this in the amplifier thread a while ago but got no answers so trying to stretch out to more people.

I have a evga gtx 980 ti (the one in my sig) and i want to cool it with water. Has anyone had any experience with this? Are there any mods needed? or anything else I should know?

This is the one that im wanting to get http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=400-CU-G991-B1

    Thank you

There is not enough space inside the amp to store even an AIO OEM system, so yes, you'll need to mod it in the sense that you'll be cutting holes out of the case somewhere to route your lines & mount your radiator. You *could* power the pump off the internal PSU if you're comfortable with splicing a line into one of the 12V rails, but I'd be cautious about how much power it draws as a 980ti is already going to be taxing the PSU that's in there significantly.

You'd definitely need to make extra space to get that in there. I have seen the Amplifier many times and asked myself how a water cooled GPU would fit. I haven't figured out a way of doing so without modding.

Ok. Thanks guys. Probably not going to bother. Would love to but seems abit expensive and long winded for the small amount on performance gained.

Side question: Are you having heat issues at all or did you just want to OC the card quite a bit?
