    Morning all,

I presume others are using USB-C hubs to extend their USB capabilities on their Alienware 17R4's and i had a question.

I have had two hubs now, one Aukey and one Anker. The Aukey I don't use as it tends to throws random BSOD errors on the USB drivers whereas the Anker does not so I presume it's a bad hub and I just don't use it. The main question I have is in regards to when I plug in the hub and use it and then unplug the hub and try to reconnect it to the same USB-C port I get nothing. The hub lights up but Windows does not chime in like it's picking anything new up and whatever is plugged into the hub does not work. If I move to the other USB-C hub Windows picks it up and everything works, until I unplug it again and then I get the same issue. Restarting the laptop returns all functionality until I unplug it once again. It is a small issue if you even want to call it an issue, I was just wondering if it is a known issue.

    Thanks in advance.

I can't remember the bios revision, but on the 13 R3, one of the bios releases was to improve USB C compatibility. Are you running your latest BIOS?

I don't think it is an error, I think it is more of an informational message.
