Weird "reverse scroll" issue that I have on my unit.

Latest ELAN trackpad driver with natural scroll enabled.

If you two finger swipe up slowly, the page will scroll up. If you two finger swipe up fast, the page will scroll down

This bug doesn't work vice versa.

Installing the previous Alienware Maxwell+Skylake trackpad driver to the new one doesn't fix the issue, this worsens the issue since the driver doesn't seem to be compatible. Even thought the hardware for the trackpad is the same between the two units (actually, this trackpad model have been used ever since the Haswell socketed machines came out).

Dell please push a firmware/driver update to fix this issue.

@Mobius 1 : AFAIK, I downloaded latest mouse driver for 15 r3 on 15 r2 and in fact it uses Synaptics TouchPad and not Elan. If you want ELANs driver goto Lenovo site to get the latest or use Snappy Driver to find latest one. How's the new rMBP w/ lot of adapters?
EDIT: A little correction here its Snappy Driver Installer (SDI) and not 8PP5MSnappy Driver.

Can you link me to that driver that you're talking about? I can't seem to find it on google.

I wonder how many people even notice it? Likely more now that you've pointed it out under the spotlight. :p

    Yea it's pretty strange....buggy software...

Have noticed the same. It amazes me still that I've never experienced a better Windows TouchPad than a MacBook Pro running BootCamp (which is not as good as in Mac OS). And we all know what Apple think of Windows...

Actually I like the Alienware 17R3's trackpad better.

AW mouse gestures even work in Safe Mode just like Surface Book.
@Mobius 1 : Here is the link for SDI. Its a minimal installer and you need to Run as admin and update its hardware db (around 11 megs) to get it up and running.
I used 15 r3 driver to get rid of some stuttering and high CPU utilization because of animated tray icon. 15 R3 TP/Mouse Driver

Then it has to be better than the one I got in my now returned AW15 R3 which was ok for a PC TouchPad but no where near the MBP one. Especially Palm rejection seem to never quite work regardless of what settings I try out.
