    Hi.
My tobii eye tracker does not want to work.
At me 17r4 1060, how much I understood, according to an official source, at me the reduced version tobii aware (not tobii eye tracker). https://help.tobii.com/hc/en-us/articles/213601805-Tobii-Aware-and-Tobii-Eye-Tracking
I have the latest version of the tobii aware software. But it does not work.
    There is an endless connection.
I tried to install different versions of tobii software, updated bios, deleted and reinstalled, but nothing worked.
In the device manager, I do not even have a device like eyechip. And I have a suspicion that I do not have tobii physically.
    Please help configure.
    Sorry for my bad english.

Hey pal, have you tried checking your serial number on dell's website to see if that model shipped with Tobii hardware? Not all Alienware 17s have it, I think.

Have you been in contact with dell yet?

As far as I know, tobii eyetracking software is extremely buggy in windows 10.

also you have a serial number, check that number to see if you have tobii in the first place.

Hi. Yes, I thought about it. But then I came across this page https://help.tobii.com/hc/en-us/articles/213601805-Tobii-Aware-and-Tobii-Eye-Tracking

If I understood correctly, then in 17r4 there is tobii, even in the simplest bundle. It's just that he's in a lite version (tobii aware).
I am wrong? Can be such that I do not have tobii physically?

I checked the serial number. On the site dell, I found only one mention of tobii, in the display section (I attach a screenshot)

maybe you can take a smartphone, use its flashlight and look into the shiny finish if you can detect any cameras for the eyetracking.

The Tobii software and functionality is very buggy. I am really shocked that hardware made it into the laptops in the first place. I owned a 13 R3 for awhile with it, and I never did get it to work perfectly. Probably why the new refresh 15 and 17 do not have it. I am betting future models wont have it either. Seems gimmicky and generally poorly executed.

If your system is still under warranty, I would get in contact with dell. The hardware may be damaged or disconnected. Actually, if you bought it second hand, I'd be willing to bet it's disconnected because the previous owner got fed up with it being buggy lol

I want to know yet, can there be such that in my specification there is simply no physically.
Maybe two diode on top just dummy. I have 1060 7700hq

If it's any consolation I had to get my Tobii eye tracker replaced because it was doing the same thing. It is possible you are seeing some kind of hardware failure

Or maybe some short circuit or incorrect cable attachment for Tobii.
