    I've had bad luck with my USB-C connections so far. I bought a USB-C to mini-display port and couldn't get it to work :( ... the cable was from an off-brand manufacturer so I blame it on them, but nobody else makes that cable yet (usbc to mini-displayport).

    I hope in the near future, they can make sure these all work.

    https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_to_displayport_cable (made by Belkin... I think, but Google is as trustworthy)
    Then get a display port to miniDP, if necessary.
    Doesn't the Cinema display require a Thunderbolt connection? You'll have to find a USB C to Thunderbolt (older) adapter, but looking on the Internet, no such adapter exists.

    I'd be willing to try this, but here's my real setup...

    DVI-Dual Link -> Active Mini DisplayPort -> Display Port -> USB-C ... :)

    Korean 1440p with DVI-Dual Link only (dual link is important for higher res monitors)

    I go DVI-Dual Link cable to an active mini-displayport (expensive cable w/ usb additional power) my old laptop, this was enough. Now, I need to go to an active mini-displayport to display port cable and then into a display port to usb-c cable.

    I'm not sure this will work, my last attempt didn't work going from USB-C to mini-displayport, so I have my doubts on this setup. :)
