A 15 r3 with 7700hq and 1060 , it only has 1080 panel and am wondering if the 1060 would work with as A LCD upgrade to a g sync tn panel?

nope, you need to buy a Gsync enabled Alienware to use an Gsync panel. Cannot be added afterwards unfortunately. The motherboard is different.
